Cabin Air Filter

Recommended Posts

Hi, just sharing. Got the below from Amazon and just installed it myself over the weekend. Mine is a Jaguar XF 2015 2.0T

Straight forward install, just remove the panel from the passenger seat held in place by 3 pins, and the air filter box is on the left hand side. Do note the way it comes out of the box for the air flow direction when replacing the new filter.

My original filter has been in the car for a year and 3 months, and there has been this weird smell that comes on every time i start the car. The smell was evident on the filter, and replacing the filter definitely helped to remove it.

Jaguar told me the filter was only due for replacement at 2nd service, but I'm particular about such things. One year is more than enough time for a filter in my opinion.

Hi Bro, can share some pic on how to make the replacement? Keen to get some space as my wife has sensitive nose.

Bro, I'll try to do that since you asked nicely and your wife also has sensitive nose like me. But earliest is the weekend

Truth is this DIY is perhaps 2 on a scale of 10.

Just take a look at the panel below your glove box at the front passenger. Only 3 pins holding it in. I used my nails to pry them loose and then you can thug at the panel and remove it.

The filter is housed in a black box on the left. The cover to the filter box is held in place by two clips, one on each side of the box. Push them down and out comes the filter with the cover.

Remove and replace, and reverse the steps. Done!
